Junior Achievement's 25th annual "Who's Who" Golf Classic Sponsored by Innovative Cleaning Solutions took place Friday, May 13th at the Wilderness. Although the tourney had two full flights planned, inclement weather rained out the afternoon flight.
Local industry & Community leaders got involved in giving back by donating their golf game to Junior Achievement. JA's "Who's Who" guest golfers this year included: Art Orscheln-Chevron Phillips Operations Manager, Chris Witte- Sr. VP & General Mgr at BASF, Gary Crabtree- Sr.Director at TX Operations-SI Group, Gary Grider-Maintenance Mgr Chevron Phillips, Greg Devereux-Business Leader Acrylontirile Ascend, Matt Hanks-Brazoria County Engineer, Rick Pena-Freeport LNG Terminal Mgr, Shane Pirtle- Port Freeport Commissioner, Travis Jackson-Dow Maintenance Group Leader, Tony Barre-Maintenance/Reliability Director - Hydrocarbons & Energy Dow Chemical, Wayne McDowell-Chevron Phillips Plant Manager.

Launched in 1956, Junior Achievement of Brazoria County, the local division of JA USA, presents the "Who's Who" Golf Classic to the community as a way to raise funds for over 8,000 students annually. Junior Achievement offers free financial literacy, entrepreneurial and work readiness programming geared to help kids make the right choices, keeping them in school, and educating them in order to help them become self-sufficient adults.
