"Your Business Plan"

At the end of this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to meet SCORE certified mentors who are readily available to provide FREE and CONFIDENTIAL mentoring. 
A solid business plan is essential to gaining access to capital and to truly understanding your business today and in the future. 

This Business Plan workshop will walk you through the steps needed for most business plans. It will help remove the confusion and fear and allow you to get started on your business plan today by providing sample questions to answer about your business.

The workshop will give you valuable and powerful tools to help guide you. Of special importance is the uniquely crafted  Business Idea Feasibility Test.  

Other tools will guide you through marketing techniques including the confusing world of digital marketing (e.g., Search & Social Marketing).

Be prepared to leave with more confidence in your ability to write an effective business plan.

At AWS Startup Day, expect to hear from AWS technical experts, your fellow startup founders, and leading figures from the startup community, who’ll offer opinionated advice and recommendations for how to go from intellectual spark to MVP and beyond. You'll get insights into some of the business challenges you'll face early on, and how you should be thinking about problem solving. About Maren Thomas Bannon:
Maren is an engineer turned operator and entrepreneur who has been building tech businesses for the past 15 years. Previously, she was CEO and Cofounder of LittleLane. Her operating experience also includes leadership roles at a health tech startups as well as leading consumer marketing for a $1B product at Genentech. She is a contributor at Forbes, an Advisor at Pearachute and a Mentor at Stanford StartX. She has an MBA from Stanford and an Engineering degree from Dartmouth.

STUDENT CORNER
The HCC Entrepreneurship Club is created to assist students enrolled at HCC to provide a conduit by which students can access relevant entrepreneurial resources, network with prominent community entrepreneurs, and share ideas. 

Students will engage in discussion with other student clubs of similar interests, and collaborate and brainstorm together, as well as get feedback on business workshops, speaking engagements, seminars, competitions/hackathons and other related activities. 

The Entrepreneurship club is dedicated to furthering understanding about new or small businesses, and learn the tactics, tips, and skills to become an entrepreneur, and/or learn an entrepreneurial mindset.

Requirements:
  • Open to any student who is currently enrolled at HCC.
  • Must be enrolled in (2) or more classes.
