"None of us can think we are exempt from concern for the poor and for social justice."  Pope Francis

April 2020
Catholic Easter Prayer

Lord, the resurrection of Your Son
has given us new life and renewed hope.
Help us to live as new people
in pursuit of the Christian ideal.
Grant us wisdom to know what we must do,
the will to want to do it,
the courage to undertake it,
the perseverance to continue to do it,
and the strength to complete it.

This is an opportunity for us to slow down, reach out, and mobilize the world for Jesus Christ. At a time when many people are fearful and anxious, we also live with the hope and joy of the Resurrection in our hearts. We want you, our valued parish leaders, to know that you are supported and cared for. We know how hard you are working to make a difference in people's lives in sharing the Gospel.

Every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 AM, we will be offering virtual check-ins. Email [email protected] to receive the video link.

CRS Online Rice Bowl and Collection Information

On Thursday, April 2,  CRS hosted a video conference with  President & CEO Sean Callahan who provided an update on CRS' global response to COVID-19 and CRS Rice Bowl 2020.  The link to the recording is below, along with a link to the video from CRS Kenya (a CRS Rice Bowl featured country).  Please feel free to pass along.
In addition, here is a link to  CRS Rice Bowl Resources and collection information during COVID-19.  Finally, an updated briefing on CRS' response to COVID-19 around the world can be found here:  CRS COVID-19 Emergency Fact Sheet.

During  Holy Week,  stay connected with CRS through prayer, fasting and almsgiving.  Remember, all Rice Bowl donations are tracked by zip code so 25% of every donation comes back to the diocese for local hunger programs.

Note:  CRS Rice Bowl contributions can be offered once church services resume.  Contributions for the world's needy are vitally important now more than ever.
