Data Showing Rising E-Cigarette Use Among Youth
While we are in the clutches of the opioid crisis, there is another potential public health crisis on the horizon for our youth.  E-cigarettes have provided many adult addicted smokers the opportunity to help quit combustible cigarettes. However, e-cigarettes have also provided our youth a mechanism to enter a lifetime of nicotine addiction and tobacco use. This has been brought on by access to flavored products in particular. Use of these products put our youth at risk for a lifetime of nicotine addiction

Data from the newly releases National Youth Tobacco survey shows the number of teenagers using e-cigarettes has almost doubled in just the last year. The data also show that kids not only choose flavored products more often than adults do, but also that flavors are a major reason they use these products. Find out more from this newly released report by clicking here.
