Worship Together
Palm Sunday | April 5, 2020
May we grow toward 'becoming and helping others become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ' through our worship today. Amen
Hosanna! Hosanna!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Today is Palm Sunday, and begins the most significant week in our Christian faith. We celebrate Jesus' triumphal entry with Palm branches waving. In a few short days, Jesus will be falsely accused, tried and crucified before he is raised to new life on Easter morning! Today, we shout "Hosanna to the highest heavens!"

*This morning you will have the opportunity to partake in the Lords Supper. Jesus used common everyday elements as he instituted this powerful symbolic act of love with his disciples. Use your typical drink and bread as we remember together the sacrifice of our Savior.
There are many odd pairings in the world. Sometimes they come together naturally, like Kenny & Dolly or peanut butter and jelly. Sometimes they collide, like fire and ice or faith and fear. When the latter happens, does faith have something to say to fear? Yes, it does. - Dr. Mike Queen

Questions For Reflection
  • What is your first response when faith and fear collide in your world?

  • In the end, what does your faith have to say to your fear?

Respond In Prayer
God of the covenant, in the glory of the cross your Son embraced the power of death
and broke its hold over your people. In this time of repentance, draw all people to yourself, that we who confess Jesus as Lord may put aside the deeds of death
and accept the life of your kingdom. Amen.
Respond Through Giving
We encourage you to offer your  financial gifts online or by mail. Your giving allows us to keep being the church, even in the absence of our physical presence. (411 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401)

What is Holy Week?
Holy Week is not just two Sundays. It is everything that took place over eight amazing days. It is only when we have walked with Jesus through the last week of his life, that we can come to a place of overwhelming gratitude of His love and sacrifice for us. This why we must never just celebrate on Sunday without touching the broken places, too.
