Training: MINI Assessment Tool
If you are a Trust-funded youth development K-5 provider, mark your calendar for
December 13, 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., to attend the CAT tool MINI overview training facilitated by Project RISE. At this training, you will become familiar with the MINI, an assessment tool used by The Trust during CAT site observations, and be granted the opportunity to understand how the tool is used to assess your program’s performance as it aligns to your scope of services. This training is open to all Trust-funded K-5 providers and is
mandatory for new providers. Training will take place at the United Way Ansin Building, Ryder Room, 3250 SW 3rd Avenue, Miami, FL 33129.

Program Management Leadership Academy
Supervisors and managers of direct-line staff in Trust-funded programs are invited to participate in The Children’s Trust Program Management Leadership Academy (aka "The Academy") which will take place in 2019. The Academy is a leadership development program designed to help supervisory leaders of Trust-funded organizations serving children, youth and families move on to the next level of personal and professional growth. Participants will learn effective strategies to handle major leadership and organizational challenges, and will be encouraged to interact, discover and communicate as they build their skills to become awesome leaders! Monthly workshops will be held January through September; attendance is required for all selected.

Project RISE has released three online Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Outcome Assessment trainings, which are available to all Trust-funded youth development providers:

- PYDI SEL Outcome Assessment Grades 6-12
- YAPS SEL Outcome Assessment Grades 6-12

- Discovering Inclusion Training - Now Available ONLINE Discovering Inclusion is an introductory workshop for staff with little or no previous knowledge about children and youth with disabilities and inclusion. It includes an introduction to various types of disabilities, identifying the benefits of inclusion for all, using People First Language and respectful etiquette, and the characteristics of an inclusive program. The Center for Human Rights and Social Justice at Barry University announces a trauma-informed human trafficking certification training. Module 1, Introduction to Human Trafficking and Models of Practice: A Trauma-Informed Perspective, is open to the public and is happening
December 11-12; Module 2, Advanced Trauma-Informed Clinical Practice with Survivors of Human Trafficking, is open to those with an MSW or advanced degree in a related field, only, and is happening
December 17-18.

Responsibilities include supervising and providing support and training to teaching teams in implementing a cognitively oriented curriculum while adhering to program standards and reporting.
