FPC Daily Advent Devotional // Wednesday, December 5

P A U S E
Hope is the ability to believe that the future can be better.  It can be simple like I am hoping for a little puppy or bigger like my hope and my grandmother’s hope that she can feel better. Hope can be for myself, a loved one, a family, a community, our world. But to have hope you have to believe in something bigger than yourself. You have to believe in your own strength and goodness, or the strength and care of a parent, a community, our God. God is my strength. God is our strength.

Dear God I pray that everyone can dream and wish for a better future. Please help everyone see a better future for themselves and others. Especially help people in poverty, affected by natural disasters such as hurricane Florence, Michael, and other disasters. Please help those who are scared. Please give us all the strength to hope. Amen.
