British Occupation, American Victory: All in Crossroads this Month!

The fate of American independence evolved from despair to hope in New Jersey 242 years ago this December, as General George Washington and the Continental Army continued their retreat from the Hudson River and across the Delaware to safety in Pennsylvania. Their daring crossing of the Delaware back to New Jersey on Christmas started a chain of events leading to victory and a renewed sense of purpose in the new year.

This December, you can share in the experience, starting with the British Occupation of Trenton at the Old Barracks on December 1 when reenactors of the 17th Regiment of Infantry go about the daily lives of Revolutionary-era soldiers. Later in the month, witness the Christmas Day crossing of the Delaware and the Battle of Trenton... and much more! Celebrate Patriots Week at a Colonial Ball, venture on a pub crawl with reenactors in period clothes, discover the role that Alexander Hamilton and the artillery he commanded played in the victory at Trenton, and more!

Check out the Patriots Day website for the full schedule of events.
