The First Sunday in Advent

Happy new year! This Sunday we start the season of Advent in preparation for Christmas. It's the beginning of the church year! And it's a time to step back and take in the big picture, looking to this Christ who was, and is, and is to come.  This Sunday we begin with the end. There are, and there will be signs and portents and gathering fear. But at the center of it, our king is coming with healing in his wings.  It's the end of the world as we know it! And yet we have good reason to feel just fine. "Heaven and earth will pass away, but [Jesus'] Word will not pass away." Come here that Word this Sunday. It may just change your life!

Looking forward to seeing you there!
Pastor Grant

Kindly check out for viewing and return back to the library when you are finished.  PS - There was one additional video in this series but it appears to be missing.  If you happen to still have it checked out, please return it at your earliest convenience.  Thank you!

USHERS
We are looking for volunteers to join our usher team and serve as ushers for our Sunday morning worship services.  It is not a difficult job - the ushers greet people as they go into the sanctuary; they hand out the bulletins; they help collect the offering; they count how many are in attendance; they help dismiss and direct people as they go forward for communion; they pick up the attendance sheets after worship; and keep a general eye on the congregation to make sure everyone is ok and give directions and/or answer questions if needed.  Ushers can be male or female.  Each usher team OF TWO ushers one regular Sunday of every month, with an occasional fifth Sunday of a month and/or special services during a holiday such as Easter and Christmas.

Please prayerfully consider sharing your time and talent in this way.  If you have questions or are interested in joining an usher team, please contact Dave Haselbauer at 651-433-2281 or call the church office at 651-462-5212.  Thank you!
