Dear Friends,

We have received word from Columbus Regional Hospital that they are in need of homemade masks. Here is the email from Rebekah Walsh, Director of Volunteer Services:

I need 2,500 by Monday, and 5,000 overall. Would you be able to get the word out to your parishioners? We would be accepting them at Volunteer Services on Monday, April 13 th . If you have interested parishioners I will send you directions to our office.

We are reaching out to multiple area churches.

Homemade cloth masks may be used by healthy, asymptomatic staff members when they are in CRH facilities and who are not engaged in direct patient care services. Homemade masks will be given to asymptomatic patients when they are in CRH facilities.

Listed below is a link regarding the wearing and making of masks. We would take masks with elastic or with ties.

Because of the urgency of this request, I wanted to forward this email asap. You can reach Rebekah by phone at 812-375-3711 or by email at rwalsh@crh.org.

If you are able to help, but unable to deliver these masks, please let me know and I will help you get them to the hospital: hboles@fumccolumbus.org.

Thank you for your help in this important matter.
