Diaper Need Awareness Week was last week, September 24–30. One in three American families struggle with "diaper need" or not having enough diapers to keep their babies clean, healthy, and dry. Annually, Diaper Need Awareness Week draws national attention to this result of poverty. The Fox Cities Diaper Bank, an initiative of United Way Fox Cities, helps local families in need. In celebration of the week, Kimberly-Clark (K-C) Corporation donated 250,000 diapers to United Ways in the Fox Cities, Oshkosh, and Green Bay, and K-C employees volunteered for the Fox Cities Diaper Bank. 2018 Community Campaign kicks off with important message
United Way Fox Cities' Community Campaign kicked off with a celebration at SECURA Insurance Companies. During the program, Joe Mauthe, Executive Director of the Housing Partnership addressed the issue of "housing cost-burden" or paying more than 30% of monthly income on housing, which forces people to make difficult choices.

Updated data continues telling the story of people struggling to make ends meet
United Way of Wisconsin, in conjunction with United Ways across the state, recently released a refreshed Wisconsin ALICE Report. The ALICE Report provides the state’s most comprehensive look to-date at the portion of the population that is working, but does not earn enough to afford a basic household budget.
