Oct. 1, 2018
Happy October! Welcome to Fall - my favorite season.
I have lots of goodies for you this week, starting with an article that looks at the workflow and hardware that we use to create our weekly audio podcast: the
Digital Production Buzz.
But, before I start talking about that, I want to highlight last week's
webinar on using
Adobe Photoshop to improve our still images. This session looked at ways we can organize, enhance and repair stills. The webinar, itself, was jam-packed with tips and tutorials. Plus, I created
two excerpts for this week to give you an overview of what you'll discover in the webinar. Learn more
here.
I'm going to be doing some traveling this week, so webinars will return in TWO weeks. As always, I'll tell you about it in my newsletter. You can also find details here:
Larry's Webinars.
The Digital Production Buzz had more highlights from
IBC on last week's show. We talked about new products and technology with
NewTek,
SmallHD,
Clear-Com and
Axle.ai. Listen to the show
here. THIS week, we have an entire show devoted to stunts. It will be posted this Thursday evening. You can always listen to The Buzz
here.
I have four new articles for you this week: two video demos on ways to use Photoshop, a behind-the-scenes look at the technology, software and process we use to create The Buzz each week, and a commentary on what I call the "magic triangles of media."
As a reminder, this is your
last opportunity to get a PDF copy of my FREE BOOK promotion:
"Dance for Television: A Production Handbook!" This 85-page PDF explains the differences between producing and directing dance, as compared to drama. I've had lots of good comments on this. The book really is free!
Click here to download your copy.
I'm heading out on the road this week, which means that for the first time in more than two years I will
not be publishing a newsletter next week. Instead, I'll be back in two weeks with more ideas to share with you. In the meantime,
edit well
