Braiding Sweetgrass

Adult Ed is after the 9:00 am service in the Sun Room on the first and third Sundays of the month. We will begin at 10:30 and end promptly at 11:15 am.

This Sunday, October 21, we will dip into the delightful book weaving traditional Native American understanding of the world with the bright curiosity of science, Braiding Sweetgrass , by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Learn about Native ecologically-and economically-sound gardens, the monster, the Windigo, and more. This is just a brief taste. We would like to know if you would like to follow up with a more in-depth study. -- Terry Birdsong and Laurie Gudim

Turkey Roundup for the Food Bank

Saturday, November 10 at 5:00 PM
Sunday, November 11 for each of the services all da y.

Bring a "rock hard" frozen turkey, and, right before each of the services, look for the green Mazda pickup in the circle drive in front of the church. Len Russ of Mary of Magdala will be ready to receive your bird. The turkeys will then be given a ride straight to the Food Bank for Larimer County and placed into the big freezer. They will be distributed to our less fortunate neighbors.   (If for any reason your turkey has softened or is no longer frozen, the food bank can not accept it.)

This annual event is celebrated at the Food Bank, which will hold its own roundup on November 14th. Last year, Mary of Magdala and Trinity Lutheran together collected 56 turkeys. This year, with St. Paul's contributing, we'll provide even more. A gift of thankfulness for everyone!
