COVID-19 Closure and Refund Options

Dear MMA Students and Families:

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all, and Maud Morgan Arts is bracing itself for a significant financial impact. As a community-based non-profit that depends heavily on program revenue, we unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to temporarily reduce our staff while we seek alternative funding. We are working hard to balance our commitment and desire to support the community with the reality that we need resources to maintain staffing. We hope that this temporary reduction in staff will allow us to maintain a small team for the duration of closures, and reopen more quickly when we can do so safely.

Along with other ABC community services and meetings, Maud Morgan Arts in-person programming is cancelled for the Spring and Summer sessions. We will explore the possibilities for offerings including digital arts activities as our capacity permits. In the meantime, you may visit our Facebook for activities to try at home.

Please read this email carefully for the most up to date refund information.

Refund-Eligible Programs as of 4/7
  • Spring Session MMA Classes
  • April Vacation Week MMA Programming
  • Summer Session MMA Classes
  • MMA Snack N Track Program
To support our families and participants and offer the most flexibility we have created this Google Form to indicate which option works best for you. Refunds will be mailed as a check to the address provided.

Families and participants may:
  1. Receive a full or partial refund. (See refund-eligible programs above.)
  2. Transfer some or all of paid tuition to credit for future programming. Credit will need to be used within 18 months from the date that tuition was converted to credit, and is not transferable to another family.
  3. Convert some or all of paid tuition to a tax-deductible donation to ABC.

Please note that at this time the Maud Morgan Arts building is closed. We will communicate and schedule time for participants to pick up artwork when social distancing restrictions have been lifted. We are unable to grant access to the building until that time. Thank you for your patience.

During this time we know that there is an overwhelming amount of information online and on the news regarding COVID-19. We suggest that you and your family refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for up-to-date guidelines. Like you, we are all trying to find a healthy balance of remaining up-to-date yet conscious of limits to anxiety and stress. There is no right way to feel during a global pandemic, but we are all doing our part to help our community stay safe.
We are here for you during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Maria LaPage
