RAISE THE TORCH FOR THE IS COMMUNITY!

Going into Curriculum Night last Thursday evening, we were 67% of the way to our $30,000 goal for the Fall Fundraiser! Join the over 90 families who have contributed to our campaign! Let’s keep the donations coming!

Your participation matters! Your contribution, no matter the amount, makes a difference! All donations to the Fall Fundraiser you give today are tax-deductible and 100% goes back to the IS community. To see a robust list of how your donation is spent, please check out:   What Your Donation Supports .

Choose a support level that works for you:  Gold $500,  Silver $250,  Bronze $100, or define your own amount. For those families who can, we ask you to consider becoming a  Titan Torch supporter with a donation of $1,000 or more.

Prefer to write a check? Fill out and mail this  donation form  to the ISPTSA.

Questions? Please contact  [email protected] .

Thank you for your consideration!

Come and have dinner with us, catch up with other IS parents, or meet new folks!

We will have a Pasta Bar Dinner this year, and the dinner is on us—the ISPTSA! This is a great opportunity for new families—of 6th graders as well as upper grades—to get to know the IS community and learn new information about our school.

The PTSA dinner will be followed by the PTSA General Membership meeting.
  • PTSA dinner: 6:30-7:15 PM
  • PTSA General Membership Meeting: 7:15-8:30 PM
Hope to see you all there!

Please RSVP here.
COMMUNICATE WITH (Y)OUR COMMUNITY

The ISPTSA provides an online directory of all families at our school. DirectorySpot can be accessed via its website or an app on your smartphone. This service is free and available to every family at IS (whether you are a PTSA member or not).

Instructions and FAQs can be found on our  website

Please note that we get directory information from Bellevue School District's Synergy/ParentVUE system. If we don't have your data, it's likely that either you chose to be exempt from inclusion in directory listings, or you have not completed the  online student data verification process .

Questions? Contact Li Wu at  [email protected] .
RENEWING YOUR MEMBERSHIP FOR 2018-19 IS QUICK AND EASY!

We had a great evening at Curriculum Night. Many people signed up for PTSA membership, but there were quite a few who weren't sure whether or not they had already renewed.

A PTSA membership is good for one year, ending on October 31, so a membership needs to be renewed each year. The good news is that, once you are already a member, it only takes about 5 minutes to renew when you click here and sign in.

We now have almost 340 members that have either renewed or joined. Thank you for your support of our 100% membership goal for a second year! Community creates success at IS. To see who makes up the membership of our PTSA community, click here .

Any questions, please contact Sharon Chen:  [email protected] .
SEARCHING FOR A FEW MORE CARPOOLING PARTNERS

We are still looking for families coming from Enatai , returning to Newport Hills after school, and coming from Somerset/Newcastle for zero hour (jazz band). If you are interested in forming a carpool and are from those areas, contact Meribeth at:  [email protected] with “carpooling request” in the subject line. Please provide your name, your student(s) name(s), grade(s), and the area from which you would like to carpool.

STUDENT SAFETY STOP PADDLE CAMERA PROGRAM
Student and staff safety continues to be a focus area for the Bellevue School District and is highlighted as part of the student well-being priority in their new strategic plan. Visit the  district website  for answers to frequently asked questions and to refresh your knowledge on when it is and is not legal to pass a stopped school bus.
BESOIN D'AIDE

S'il vous plaît!

One of IS’s great traditions is the French Exchange. We will be hosting 20 French girls and 10 French boys this December, but we need your help

Right now, we are in desperate need of 1 male student to HOST a French student in Bellevue from December 6-20 . The French students are the equivalent of sophomores. The very basic hosting duties involve housing, feeding, and transporting students.

If you have an extra bed or bedroom and can host during this period, please email immediately:  [email protected]
9TH GRADE PARENT NIGHT

International's high school counselor, Melinda Breeze, will share information pertinent to being an IS 9th grader, such as:
  • The four year plan,
  • Academic and personal success,
  • Volunteer hours,
  • And more!
