The Gifford Park Association is holding its first annual Christmas Home Decorating Contest! You must be an Elgin Historic District resident in order to apply.
There will be two categories: Traditional and Non-Traditional
Guidelines for Traditional Decor:
-No exterior lights
-Captures the essence of period-appropriate decor
Guidelines for Non-Traditional Decor:
-Has exterior lights
-Clark Griswold may be your motivation
Homes that are registered before December 13th (click
here
for the application) will be in the running for first prize which is $100 cash, OR second prize which is $50 in Downtown Elgin Gift Certificates! Judging will take place on Saturday, December 14th and we will announce the winners at our Christmas Party on December 15th. (Winner need not be present but we will have free appetizers and a lot of fun so why don't you plan on coming anyway.)
