  The Winter Discovery Center yurt is brought to you by Tahoe XC, with curriculum provided by Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships (SWEP).
 
Your Donations at Work
Tahoe Cross-Country Ski Education Association (TCCSEA) gives $6,000 annually to SWEP to be an education provider at the Winter Discovery Center.

This Giving Season
Help us raise $6,000 so we can keep SWEP, a partnership that works. We are so proud of how SWEP makes our cross-country center unique.
Why Donate?
  • Local kids are learning hands-on snow science, winter survival skills and Nordic skiing.
  • NGSS curriculum helps teachers check off classroom requirements in a fun, substantial way.

Green Achiever Award

In 2018, Tahoe Truckee Unified School District (TTUSD) was nationally recognized with the Green Achiever Award! The  Winter Discovery Center and SWEP were mentioned on stage in Washington D.C. as being unique for our focus on winter ecology and safety.
We need to keep SWEP programs at the Tahoe XC Winter Discovery Center.

In April 2017 at the North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce "Local Luminaries" Award Dinner, Tahoe Cross-Country Ski Education Association (TCCSEA) won the 2017 Non-Profit of the Year Award! 

TCCSEA provides educational, active and fun youth programs like Strider Gliders, Free Skiing for the Schools, Winter Discovery Center and more.
