Downtown Rehab Phase 3 Hard Surfaced!

The concrete sidewalk base has been installed on 100 Avenue from 102 Street to 100 Street. This means that the project is protected from the weather, and pedestrian access is improved.

Businesses on both blocks of Phase 3 have front access, and pedestrians can travel on the hard concrete surface. Upcoming construction includes the installation of sidewalk pavers and tree frames, landscaping, and electrical work. The project is on track to be completed by the end of October.

Pace, Grande Prairie & Area's Community Support, Sexual Assault, and Trauma Centre, is  very excited to announce that now with our partnership with Grande Prairie Regional College we are offering the   "Crisis Response Management Certificate".   For more information on how to obtain this certificate please visit:

What is Pace's Community Support Training?

Community Support Training (CST) offers a collection of workshops that provide valuable information and skills surrounding social issues that affect all of us in both our personal and professional lives.

CST is beneficial for professionals, frontline workers, first responders (including law enforcement, medical, and fire), caregivers, post-secondary students, and community members as it provides participants with information and opportunities for practical application.  Through the training, participants learn how to view, approach, and work with individuals who may be in crisis or have experienced trauma.  As their knowledge and skills surrounding social issues increase, participants learn the importance of creating a supportive and non-negative-judgmental environment for the people in their lives.

Keep in mind that CST Fall 2018 starts in September and ends in December.

Be sure to register for the workshops you want to attend.  The spots are known to fill up quickly so hurry and contact  GPRC Continuing Education 780-539-2975  and register today!
