Principal's Message

Murwood Families,

Please join me tomorrow night at 6 pm in the Parkmead Elementary Multi Purpose Room for our parent math information night!  Our new math coach, Alex Thomas, will be on hand to kick off the event. Then. we will break into grade level sessions with our fantastic WCSD teachers, who will provide tips for helping students with math homework. Thank you, WCEF, and parents for your generosity in bringing us a math coach!
Please click on this  link to RSVP.

Thank you for your flexibility in rescheduling conferences due to the air quality issue that forced the closure of our schools.  Hopefully, you have connected with your child's teacher to schedule a new date.

This Friday is Soul Shoppe, part of our social emotional wellness program.  This week, we focus on restorative justice for "The Clean Up," the companion piece to our "I Message" lesson.  This lesson centers on the themes of emotional self awareness, self management, social awareness and relationship skills. Click the link here to preview the lesson and learn the Soul Shoppe language  we use here.  As always, we are so very grateful to our PTA for generously providing this program for all students.

Finally, keeping you updated on monthly safety, we had a duck and cover drill yesterday morning to practice our earthquake safety skills.

From the Office

Parents, it is important that we have the most up-to-date information as possible in case of an emergency.  If you have moved, changed phone numbers, place of employment, physicians, etc, please make sure you notify the office.  Also, please make sure your emergency contacts are up to date and that we have the names of all those who are allowed to pick up your child. As always, thank you for your continued support.

Thank you!
