JANUARY 2020
2019 was a banner year for adoptions at Valley Humane Society! 708 dogs and cats found their way into the arms of loving families, thanks to your support and the hard work of our entire team. We're resolved to match (or best!) that amount again this year. Can you say, "we've got #goals?"

Another thing that's particularly motivating us right now is Megan! If you haven't met her, stop by and say hi. The two-year-old tortoiseshell has been looking for her forever home since February of last year. She's a spunky Diva with a heart of gold who loves to play. You can help Megan right now by sharing her profile on your social media pages.

We're excited and energized to truly make a big difference for pets and their people in 2020. Thanks for being part of the effort!

Car Donation Helps Pets
If the new year has brought you new wheels, you may be left wondering what to do with the old set. Working or not, your unused vehicle can be donated to help dogs and cats in need. With an easy, no-hassle process that can be completed online or by phone, our car donation partner will pick up your vehicle (boats and RV's are also eligible) and turn it into cash, notifying both you and Valley Humane of your donation's value. Learn more today!
A Time to Plan
A New Year is the perfect catalyst to get started on all those things that were put off for one good reason or another. Here are three easy ways to take advantage of the momentum and plan your 2020 giving in ways that make a positive impact for you, the animals, and Valley Humane Society. First, take note of this important number: 94-303822. That's Valley Humane Society's federal EIN; it will come in handy when you or your accountant are itemizing tax deductions, and will also facilitate establishing planned gifts. Second, use our free giving toolkit! It's chock full of info about simple ways to make impactful gifts, including how to help while you're still living (and using your money), methods with the most immediate tax deductions, and how to offset taxable events. Finally, take a minute to meet Valley Humane Society's Development Manager, Will Anzenberger. Will has worked for years answering questions on everything from estate planning to direct stock donations to what options are available in the event a donor's pet outlives its guardian. Call Valley Humane Society at (925) 426-8656 or email Will to ask your questions and start your plan today!
