Radical welcome. Faithful worship. Compassionate service.

June 16, 2019
First Sunday after Pentecost

11:00 am Combined Worship
Please join us after service for our Annual Spring Barbecue.

Sanctuary Cinema
Friday, June 14 at 7:00 pm
Please join us for our next  FREE Sanctuary Screening, in the air-conditioned Guild Hall.

Blowin' Up is an inspiring documentary of an amazing judge in the Queens court who pioneers a compassionate method of handling human trafficking intervention from within a broken criminal justice system. In this movie, a partnership between "Girls Educational and Mentoring Services" (GEMS) and other organizations changes the way women are prosecuted. There are no offensive images in this film, it evokes empathy for these women who have already faced so much exploitation and abuse and it provides hope to those who have faced such trials and tribulation in their lives.

Popcorn and lemonade will again be served and a facilitated discussion will follow. Please take note that this will be our last screening for the summer.

Stewardship in Giving

We’re excited to announce that a group of supportive parishioners have put together a matching fund for our Annual Giving Stewardship campaign. All new and increased donations in the month of June will be matched up to $30,000, to help us reach our goals and to continue important ministries. More information will be sent out in a mailing, but we hope you will use this as a perfect opportunity to join the Grace pledging family, or to increase your pledge if that is right for you. Pledges can be made here or by returning a pew card.
Becoming Beloved Community: Sacred Ground

In response to key themes that have emerged from Grace’s ongoing Core Values inquiry, we are developing a new " Becoming Beloved Community" initiative. In the near future, you will receive a letter with more detailed information concerning this initiative.

One of the pieces in  Becoming Beloved Community is Sacred Ground , the Episcopal Church’s exciting new film and readings - based dialogue series on race, grounded in faith.

You will hear more about  Sacred Ground during the announcements in church Sunday. In the meantime, for more information, please click here .

Thank You For Being Our Host!
Thank you to our host, Marlo Marron for hosting Coffee Hour last Sunday, June 9, 2019 after our 11:00 am service. You are very much appreciated!
Calling all Coffee Hour Hosts.

Coffee Hour is a time for fellowship and conversation among church members to share a cup of coffee, a pastry, a smile and to engage in small talk amongst our church family. What a great way to spend time after Sunday service?

As we continue in this awesome fellowship, we are looking for volunteers to host Coffee Hour after the 11:00 am service.

It can be very simple or as elaborate (but not expensive) as you'd like, infusing fruits, carrots, celery with hummus dips or pastries. You can prepare your favorite goodies to share, some homemade cookies or brownies. If you would like to participate but just do not have the time to shop, you can also make a monetary donation and the Church will do the shopping for you.

We hope you will consider this amazing opportunity to participate in this special ministry of bringing people together and volunteer a small amount of time to host.

If you are interested in volunteering one Sunday, please sign up by adding your name to our volunteer book located in the back of the sanctuary or contact Marilyn Grant, Emily Horcher, or Sheila O’Neill . We look forward to you being our host.
