Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving for me is still a relatively new concept. Right after Halloween is over I am DESPERATE to get the Christmas decorations from the attic, begin listening to Christmas music, and dig out the Christmas sweaters. This new added event plays havoc with my internally created calendar of events – similar to the lull between Christmas and New Year experienced by some. As the new guy, I find the concept of a day set aside to give thanks intriguing. Shouldn’t we do this daily?  ( 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5) . Absolutely we should! But let’s be honest, we get worn down by the world, we get ‘busy’ with work or school, we get caught up with our supplications and petitions forgetting about our adoration and thanksgiving. That is why I am thankful for Thanksgiving. I have come to appreciate Thanksgiving as a time to reset and remember to thank God. I thank Him for the blessing of this life in America. I thank Him for the blessing of my wife. I thank Him for the blessing of working with his children daily and for the many other blessings that he pours on my life.

I pray that you use this Thanksgiving to reset also and continue to give thanks to the one that gives us life each and every day!

November snapshot:
With only a few weeks until the Cathedral Lock-In we have been working hard on creating an awesome event for all those that attend. See the video above (or click HERE ) for our event promo.
The children of the Child Care Center sung songs and presented thank you cards to the veterans who attended the Welcome Home Initiative (WHI) closing ceremony.
Christian Camp and Conference Association (CCCA) hosted a training seminar at Camp Berea, NH. The topic was Emergency Preparedness Training and whilst the information learned was important and powerful we pray that we may never need to implement the strategies discussed.
Early in November, our challenge course consultants, Project Adventure, completed work on our zip-line rebuild. We are so excited for everyone to try it out! Here is Fr. Tom Papazoglakis and Mtr. Judith Malionek kindly volunteering to test it out during the Priests Retreat.
What is coming up?
Survive the night!
As an unknown contaminate spreads and the world begins to spiral out of control the Cathedral of All Saints is the last safe sanctuary in the north-east. A brave group of young people gather to work out what to do next. Will they discover a light in the darkness? Is it too late for the world and these young people? Will the barricades hold out all night? Join us to find out!

A lmighty and gracious Father, we give you thanks for the fruits of the earth in their season and for the labors of those who harvest them. Make us, we pray, faithful stewards of your great bounty, for the provision of our necessities and the relief of all who are in need, to the glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen
