‘Canadian Landscapes
Oil Paintings

What is most important in my art is to do my best to capture that euphoric feeling from a 'wow!' moment that I may have had when I first laid eyes on a particular scene - a scene that would eventually become a painting. That culmination of shadows, colours and a feeling of smells often appears much more embellished and vibrant in my mind's eye than in reality.

My goal is to project this elevated sense that transfers as evidence into the paintings that I create.

‘Memora Monto’
Recycled sterling and fine silver jewelry

As people, we have always adorned our bodies.
I strive to create minimalist talismans for the modern world with Memora Monto (Memory Mountain),  serving as reminders to our connection with the earth, and to each other.

All of my work is rooted in a deep sense of calm, and inspired by nature.

LYSH FAULDER
‘Nature is Within
Acrylic paintings, mixed media, gel pen on paper

Yeah, for sure my work comments on social issues! At first, I didn't necessarily aim for it, but as I started to create more pieces, I started to see a common theme amongst my art.

Along my journey, I've realized this deep sense of connection with life, specifically plants, animals, elements and the world at large. There's this sense of oneness that I carry throughout my work.

A part of me worries that we're becoming so disconnected from ourselves that we've forgotten our true nature. How can we ever take care of our planet or our children if we don't know how to care for ourselves?

As I learned to build a stronger relationship with myself, and in return, I’ve naturally built a stronger relationship with nature.
