The Latest News from the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary
Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming 6th graders from a local public school for a field trip to the sanctuary. Along with our education coordinator and naturalist, these students explored the sanctuary property to study insects in their natural habitat. During one touching moment, a student crouched beside the meadow and sent her insects "home" as she whispered sweet sentiments. It was a reflection of Catherine's spirit, a sweet moment and milestone, and a reminder that the vision is already here.

As we continue to raise funds and work with town committees towards construction, we look ahead with great anticipation to the day we can officially break ground. Until then, we are inspired over and over again with the knowledge that the sanctuary already exists. It lives in the hearts and compassion of all who treat the earth and its inhabitants with kindness and grace. The physical structure of the sanctuary is coming but we will always take pride in knowing that the road there has been paved by the love of so many.

Sincerely,
Jenny & Matt Hubbard

"Thank you so much for bringing such a wonderful program to our senior residents at Maplewood. I knew they would enjoy the program but never dreamed of seeing the responses. I was totally shocked to see how long some of the residents were able to sit and concentrate. The program was so engaging and fun for the residents and their smiles and laughter continued throughout the day. The experience was truly priceless! We will definitely have to repeat this program again."
