June 13th Newsletter

Dear Parents,

As the 2018-2019 school year comes to a close, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of our St. Catherine of Siena School community for your kindness, collaboration, and support. You have all made this school year a successful one. It has been both a pleasure and a blessing to have my days filled with your children.

I wish you a peaceful and enjoyable summer. May God continue to bless you always.

Please note that throughout the summer there will be email updates going out with information regarding the 2019-2020 school year.

Important:

The First day of school for the 2019-2020 school year is Thursday, August 29th for grades K-8.

The first 2 days of school are Early Dismissal days.

First day of school for PreK 4 and PreK 3 is Sept. 5th and 6th. Both days are

E arly Dismissal at 11:30 am.

Atta-way Awards

The Trumbull Lions Club awarded SCSS students with "Atta-Way Awards" this week. The awards are given to three students who have shown marked improvement from the 3rd through 5th grade in one of the three subject areas: Reading, Language Arts and Mathematics. The winners received a certificate and a $50 bank check. We are so proud of all of their hard work! Congratulations!

Retirement Celebrations

Congratulations to Mrs. Oleski and Mrs. Whitmoyer

on their retirement. We would like to thank them for all they have done for the community of St. Catherine of Siena School. Their dedication, spiritual guidance, and compassion have touched the lives of so many over the years! They were honored at a reception in the McClinch Family Center on Monday, June 10th, where members of the school community were able to say their goodbyes and offer best wishes. May God continue to bless these amazing women!!!
