Seneca County Republican Party
events this week
Lincoln Day Dinner photos are now on our website. You may be in several . That's Seneca East High School student Eli Heal with Congressman Jim Jordan.

Tuesday is Election Day in some precincts, Wednesday is our monthly luncheon, and Thursday is our Central Committee meeting. Please join us for these public events.
Tuesday will be your first opportunity to use our new election equipment if you are in one of the 13 precincts open. That's Fostoria, Tiffin's Second Ward (but not First, Third, or Fourth), Green Springs, Adams Township, Pleasant Township, and Attica. Sadly, voter turnout is expected to be low, but the good news is your vote may be decisive. You can make a difference, so be sure to vote Tuesday if your precinct is open.

Join us Wednesday for our monthly luncheon to celebrate or lament the election results. It's the second Wednesday of every month. There's all you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad bar. It's in the back room at Fort Ball Pizza, 91 North Washington Street, Tiffin. You can come and go as your schedule permits between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM. Our local elected officials and candidates will have the opportunity to speak briefly. It's a very informal, and everyone is welcome. The next dates are June 5, July 10, and August 14.

The Seneca County Republican Central and Executive Committee will meet Thursday, May 9. It's the first meeting for our nine new appointees, and we welcome them. The meeting is at 7:00 pm at North Central Ohio Educational Service Center (NCOESC) office, 928 W. Market St., Tiffin (same building as North Central Academy). The meeting is open to the public, and everyone is welcome. The agenda is below.
Leadership Institute
Jo Ann Davidson was the first woman to serve as Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives. The first class of The Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute for Republican women in Ohio met in 2000-2001. Since then almost 400 Republican women have participated in the classes. The Institute was formed to provide Republican women access to training in leadership skills as well as understand the county, state and national Republican organizations and how they can best participate. Seneca County's Holly Stacy is a graduate.
Next month the 19 th class will be in Washington, D.C. to meet with women from other states who are graduating from their state programs. While in Washington class members from Ohio will be able to hear from speakers representing various Republican organizations as well as meet with Senator Rob Portman, several members of Ohio’s Congressional Delegation and White House staff. This provides our graduates the opportunity to expand their understanding of how our political system works.

We are now taking applications from women who want to be considered to be in the 2019-2020 class. This class will be the 20 th class of the Institute. Women in your county who would make good political, community and elected leaders do benefit from participating in the Leadership Institute. The deadline for applications is June 15 th. Applications are available on our website and can be submitted on our website:  www.jadleadershipinstitute.com.

Our goal is to have every one of Ohio’s 88 counties represented among the Institute graduates. Thank you to those counties who have had someone from their county participating. We need a few more counties participating to reach our goal.
We appreciate all you do to help us make this leadership program a success.
Please call 614-203-0308 or email if you have questions.
Ottawa County Fish Fry with Frank LaRose
The Ottawa County Republican Party is bringing back a long-standing tradition: the OCRP Fish Fry! We will also be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Ohio’s ratification of the 19th Amendment. Did you know Ohio was the fifth state to ratify the 19th Amendment, the amendment that allowed women to exercise their God-given right to vote?

Our Fish Fry will be held in the Pavilion at Catawba Island Club, overlooking beautiful Lake Erie. The menu will include fried perch, baked chicken, slider buns, tartar sauce, parmesan potatoes, seasonal vegetables, coleslaw, potato salad and cookie tray! There will be a cash bar.

Secretary of State Frank LaRose will be our keynote speaker. We are planning a great evening of celebration. You may even meet some Suffragettes!!
