Ever wanted to question the writing process of a well-published author?
Have a burning question that only John Sandford can answer?
Join us for a virtual conversation and Q&A with author John Sandford on April 14th as he discusses his latest Lucas Davenport & Virgil Flowers novel Ocean Prey. John Sandford is the pseudonym for the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist John Camp. He is the author of twenty-nine Prey novels; four Kidd novels; twelve Virgil Flowers novels; three YA novels coauthored with his wife, Michele Cook; and three other books.
A limited number of copies of Ocean Prey will randomly be given out to patrons that attend the Zoom presentation. Questions must be submitted by April 7th.

Bi-Annual Jigsaw Puzzle Exchange
Saturday, April 17th, 1:30 PM
Donate your "already done, no missing pieces, 500+ piece" jigsaw puzzles to the library no later than Saturday April 10th. Then on Saturday, April 17th, at 1:30 PM stop by to pick up "new-to-you, FREE" jigsaw puzzles to enjoy after Tax Day! You do not have to donate puzzles to pick up "new-to-you" puzzles.

Wonderbooks, Launchpads, Playaways, Oh My! |

|
Wonderbooks are a fun and exciting new format for the library! This collection of picture books have a built in audio book. Our youngest readers, and listeners, open the book and simply press play. The book will then be read to them, complete with page turn indications. Headphones can be plugged directly into the book to eliminate background noise and distraction. At the end of the book there are narrator lead questions that encourage deeper engagement and help foster a conversation about the stories. This newest collection is on the right side of our front desk counter.
Launchpads are a tablet full of pre-loaded and safe content. No download or Wi-Fi needed to allow access to fun learning apps and games. Topics include Science, Math, Early Kindergarten Skills and fun games with favorite characters for PreK - K, Grades K-2, 3-5, and 5+. Simply turn on the tablet and get started playing and learning.
Playaways can be found in the Youth, Teen and Adult collections. These MP-3 type one book units are audiobooks that fit in your pocket, and are great for listening at home or on the go. Plug in a pair of headphones or an auxiliary cord and start listening right away. You provide the battery; we provide the story!

Bedtime Story PJ Party

7 PM Join Miss Janelle for a fun filled bedtime story. Make sure you're in your PJ's and ready to snuggle! This storytime will include some stretching and breathing exercises to help prepare your children for rest. We encourage a blanket and stuffed animal too! DIY Crafting - Woven Paper Lantern
Virtual - Zoom
5:30 - 7 PM Join Helen Hiebert and create this Woven Paper Lantern. It looks complicated, doesn’t it? But it’s not! Helen will guide you through the steps in this project, and you will create a gorgeous paper weaving. Connect the two ends with a clever woven paper hinge and bring the lantern into the round. Illuminate your woven paper lantern with a battery operated tea light and enjoy the way the light filters through the woven panels.

There is no level of government that is more directly responsible for serving your community than your local elected officials. Local government can affect almost every aspect of your daily life. Here’s just a few of the things they’re responsible for:
- Local school quality and school boards
- Library board of trustees
- Policing and public safety (and holding police accountable)
- Rent costs and affordable housing
- Road conditions and improvements
- Alcohol and marijuana ordinances
. . . the list goes on and on, all the way down to your recycling options and waste collection.
