Spotlight Teams of the Week

Boys 1/2 Spurs: ' The Franklin Auto Spa Spurs are gelling nicely as a team. This past weekend they played an up-tempo contest versus the Wizards and did themselves proud. Even at a young age the boys are understanding the value of strong defense and how that can impact the game's results. They show amazing heart and hustle - beginning to end.'- Coach Peter Charlier

Girls 1/2 Wildcats: ' The Wildcats and Blue Hens were definitely impacted by the snow on Saturday as each team had minimum players. But even with a few players the game was well played by both teams. In the final minute the Wildcats scored the go ahead basket to improve to 7-1 for the season. As the season progresses all of the Wildcats are not only growing in their basketball skills and knowledge but also creating new friendships.' - Coach Mark Hineman

Boys 5/6 Chiefs: ' The Chiefs moved to 5-3 with a hard-fought victory over the Razorbacks. The Chiefs went up early, but the Razorbacks fought back with a barrage of three pointers to pull within six points. The Chiefs turned up the defense and answered with some three pointers of their own to hold on for the win. The big question on everyone’s mind remains, however, what team’s nickname is the “Chiefs”? If you find out, please let us know!'- Coaches Alex Bartlett and Mike Hynes

Boys 7/8 Boilermakers: ' The Boilermakers in the 7/8 division lost another close game, which is the story of the season so far. They continue to work hard and stay positive and are looking forward to the playoffs.'- Coach Jim Mack

GVBL Tournament Teams
4th Grade Boys - REBELS
The 4th grade Rebels won again yesterday to go 5-0 in the Malvern League. Cole Krzeminski played great defense and grabbed lots of rebounds. Nate Sherrock and Jamie Cappelli handled point guard duties and provided great leadership.
5th Grade Boys - RAIDERS ~ KNIGHTS ~ DRAGONS
The Knights, Raiders and Dragons went a combined 1-2 this weekend in ICBA and Malvern League play. Over half of the 31 boys on the roster will be competing in the Spring-Ford Tournament in a few weeks.
5th Grade Girls - STORM
The Storm had a light schedule this past weekend with one Malvern League game and one ICBA game. In Malvern League action, they competed against a solid GMW team, falling by a score of 21-11. It was a hard fought battle against a stout defensive team. In ICBA play, the Storm moved to 4-0 with a victory over WGBL by a score of 23-9. The Storm had a balanced scoring attack with Lauren Chain leading the way with 5 points. Sophia Kauler and Izzy Maloskey hauled in numerous rebounds. The Storm will continue next week with two ICBA games, squaring off against also-unbeaten Whitpain on Saturday. They also have a Malvern League game on the schedule, with the opponent to be determined.

6th Grade Boys - 2026ers
The 2026ers White Team came out of their game this weekend strong and took an early lead winning their game. Good job boys!
The 2026ers Blue Team played Ridley on Sunday. The team had a rough second quarter and lost the first half. They came back strong and won the second half. Overall, they lost by 12 and will be working on better passing this week in practice.

6th Grade Girls - LIGHTNING
The Lightning had another strong showing this weekend. They had a hard fought loss against a great team Saturday, followed by a big win at home on Sunday. 2-3 zone defense is really coming together and really starting to frustrate opposing offense. Next weekend, they have 3 more chances to rack up the wins!
7th Grade Boys - PATRIOTS 2025
The 7th Grade Boys White Travel Team Lost 39 to 31 against Aston in the Malvern League Play on Sunday. The team has stepped up their defense, one of their main goals this season.
The 7th grade Boys Blue Travel Team beat Octorara 47 to 32 in Malvern League play with 6 players scoring 5 or more points each as they continue to execute their offensive sets.
The 7th Grade boys ICBA team moves to 5 and 1 in their Division beating Paoli at home 60 to 39. Cameron Wallace led all scorers with 22 points. The team shot 75% from the free throw line almost hitting their goal of 80% or better. They play number 1 Audubon at GVMS this Saturday at 6:45pm to try and take the Top spot in their division. This will be a BIG battle.

7th Grade Girls - TITANS
The Titans notched another Malvern league victory--beating Radnor Wayne 41-31 on Sunday. The ICBA schedule was empty for the weekend, but they have three games next weekend.
8th Grade Boys - THE BLITZ
