Native americans
Life & Times @ Learning Tots Academy
View from the front

Dear LTA Families,

We hope that everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving, full of good food, family and friends! Last week was a short week, but we kept up with our Thanksgiving theme. This week we will chat about Native Americans and Pilgrims. The Pilgrims sailed across the Atlantic Ocean to reach North America. They sailed on a ship named the Mayflower. On December 11, 1620, the first Pilgrims (or Puritans, as they were first known) landed at Plymouth Rock. The Wampanoag Indians were the people who taught the Pilgrims how to get the land ready for planting.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Spanish with Ms. Angelica
Hello LTA parents,
This is Mrs. Angelica with my weekly report. This past week was short but the learning never stops! We had a super week of fun and full of surprises as the children continue to learn fast. This week too we had a child who stood out in the class by saying the colors and numbers in Spanish. The word of the week was "gracias" (thanks). One more time I would like to thank you for all your support.
~Sweetly, Mrs. Angelica

Doctor tip of the week

Baby Skin Care Dos and Don'ts

If your infant is prone to eczema, do use moisturizers, and stick with scent-free products.

Do: Moisturize. Dry skin can lead to flare-ups. Apply lotion, cream, or ointment to your child's skin. It’s especially important right after a bath and during cold months, when you’ve got the heat on.

Parent tip of the week

Secrets to Better Naps

It's tough to convince most kids to take time out for a snooze. To make nap time easier, try this.

Nighttime sleep is important, of course, but daytime naps can matter just as much. They’re key for making sure kids get the hours of rest they need every day. Plus, they work wonders for kids’ physical health and mood. That’s good for them AND you.

Looking ahead
