CINCINNATI'S LIFE SCIENCES ECOSYSTEM DRAWS NOTICE
As life sciences investment continues to grow in the Midwest, BioSpace notes Cincinnati is Home to a Robust Life Sciences Ecosystem . Among the mentions: portfolio companies Enable Injections , Eccrine Systems , Genetesis , Clarigent Health , Aerpio and Myriad Neuroscience's GeneSight® technology. Cincinnati Children's Hospital and University of Cincinnati are recognized as research institutions that foster innovation.

DEAL : Enable Injections
Portfolio company Enable Injections has announced a multi-product deal with global pharma giant Sanofi S.A. Enable is developing the enFuse™, an on-body drug delivery platform that would enable patients to self-administer high-volume therapeutics that must currently be infused in a clinical setting. It's the latest development deal for Enable, whose strategic partners include pharma companies CSL Behring, UCB and Apellis.
DISTINCTIONS: Abre, NaviStone, Myriad Neuroscience
Portfolio company Abre , which is reimagining education management software, is a finalist for two SIIA CODiE Awards, the only peer-recognized awards in the ed tech industry. Abre was also named 2019 EdTech Startup of the Year by EdTech Breakthrough .

For the fourth time, portfolio company LISNR ( left, CEO Eric Allen ) has been named to the CNBC Disruptor 50 list of most innovative venture-backed startups. LISNR uses sound to securely connect devices for payments and other purposes. LISNR is 1 of 10 startups in the global METRO Target Retail Accelerator's current cohort.
