President Trump Continues to Put the Health and Safety of Americans First

President Trump and his administration are continuing to prioritize the health and safety of the American people.

This week, President Trump and the White House Coronavirus Task Force continued to prioritize the health and safety of the American people during this national emergency. Since January , President Trump has led a bold, aggressive, comprehensive, and unprecedented whole of America response to combat the coronavirus.

President Trump and the White House Coronavirus Task Force have remained in constant communication with our local, state, federal, and world leaders. The public continues to be informed through regular press briefings and interviews. This has been a transparent response, praised by governors from both political parties and the American public.

Governor Andrew Cuomo said the President has been “fully engaged on trying to help New York.”
Governor Larry Hogan praised the White House Coronavirus Task Force for its “thorough communication” with governors.
Governor Gavin Newsom offered high praise for President Trump’s response efforts.
Governor Phil Murphy said he was thankful for the open line of communication with President Trump.
Governor Jay Inslee said he has had productive discussions with the Trump Administration in regards to the virus response.
Governor Mike DeWine said the administration provided the necessary waivers to take food out into the community during this crisis.

The American people are more confident than ever with the President’s coronavirus response.

A recent Gallup poll showed the President’s approval at 49% - the best of his presidency. In the same poll, 60% of Americans approve of the President’s handling of the pandemic.
ABC/Washington Post poll, 51% of Americans said they approved of the President’s management of the coronavirus.
A recent Reuters/Ipsos Poll found 49% approve of the President’s response to the coronavirus.

There is no question the coronavirus pandemic has impacted nearly every aspect of our lives, including the economy. Included in the CARES Act relief package was much-needed assistance for businesses and workers. On Friday, the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) began accepting applications. The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is a nearly $350 billion program – included as a provision in the CARES Act - that provides 8 weeks of cash flow assistance to small businesses.
