Principal's Message
I hope that you have had a great and restful week full of fun and quality time with family and friends. I am grateful to be a part of our FUHS Family. About a year ago I was newly appointed principal of this great school and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity! The year went by fast and here we are almost at Winter Break again! My hope is to continue to improve communication with you and also to reach out to our school community even more so. Thank you parents for being so involved in your students' education and really promoting the importance of being a close school community. #thisisfullerton #mytribe
The week before our fall break was an exciting one and there are many events that are coming up with Winter around the corner! Please make sure to look out for concerts, sporting events and spirit weeks! We are also in full swing with the promotion of our school as Open Enrollment season comes up in January.
JROTC
JROTC Cadets marched down Harbor Boulevard to the newly renovated Hillcrest Park on Monday, November the 12th in honor of Veterans Day. This Veterans Day marked the 100th Anniversary of the end of WWI. Cadets got a chance to mingle with veterans of WWII, the Korean War and the War in Viet Nam where they learned about military history from those that served. We are very proud of our cadets for participating in this annual event!
Marching Band and Pageantry Corps
CSBC Semi-Finals Tournament was held on Saturday, Nov. 10th. Your Indians ended the competitive field season with their highest score of the season at 70.20. Unfortunately, this was just out of reach to qualify for Division Finals the following week.

The Marching Band and Colorguard did spend the Monday holiday celebrating our veterans by taking part in the Fullerton Veterans Parade and Ceremony starting at Wilshire Blvd, turning down Harbor and ending at Hillcrest Park. They are very excited to have made NBC 4 news later that evening! It was a great way to officially end Marching Band season.

The Registration Portal for AP Exams is now open. It will remain open until January 31st. Please advise your students to sign up as soon as possible so there are no issues. We are using Total Registration as we did last year.  The link is on the Fullerton High School website under Recent Announcements and it can also be found under Guidance. FUHS Athletics
Thank you Dr. Posthuma for this athletic update!

Athletics for the Week of November 12th-23rd;

A belated Happy Thanksgiving to the Tribe Athletic Community!

We have one final item from the fall season to share. In Cross Country, one of our runners, Presli Dillon, qualified for CIF Division 3 Finals Meet. FUHS has not has a runner qualify for the finals in several years. The meet was held on Saturday, Nov. 17 with 170 runners competing in this race. Presli was hoping for a top 17 finish. She didn't achieve this but she ran very well. We are proud of you Presli!

The basketball teams began play the week of Nov. 12. The girls opened with a win over Bellflower HS. They also competed against La Mirada HS, but lost in a close game. So the girl's record so far is 1 and 1. The girls are hosting the annual Vernie Ford Girls Basketball tournament starting Nov. 26 through Dec. 1. Many teams from the Southland, Central California and even a team from Australia are competing in the tournament. Good luck girls!

The boy's basketball record is 3-3. The team opened with a win over Saddleback HS, a loss to Jurupa Valley HS and then began play in the El Monte Basketball Tournament. The team ended with a 2 and 2 record in this tournament with wins over Morningside HS and an exciting 1 point win over Burroughs HS. The tournament wrapped up with losses to Gahr HS and Mira Costa HS. The boys now begin play in the Godinez Boys Basketball tournament Nov. 26.

Our soccer, wrestling and girls water polo programs all have opening season games this week. The coaches, players and parents of our winter sports have been working hard to have everything ready for the season. Make sure to follow us on our website and social media.
