Thanksgiving - Campus Closed

Kwanzaa Celebration
Fullerton College Ethnic Studies and the Umoja Program will host the annual Kwanzaa Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 29 featuring guest speaker, Priscilla Ocen, J.D. Ocen is a professor of law at Loyola Law School and co-author of Black Girls Matter: Pushed Out, Overpoliced and Underprotected. Women's Water Polo
The Hornets traveled up north to West Valley College to play in the CCCAA State Championship tournament. On Friday, Fullerton won the semifinal game against San Joaquin Delta 13-12 in a close overtime shootout. Playing in their first State Championship game since 2014, the Hornets took on the No.1 seed from the north Sierra College and fell in overtime 7-6. Sierra's win over FC marks the first-ever women's water polo title-win for any northern California team. Fullerton ended the season with only three losses with an overall record of 29-3, and they are the 2018 Orange Empire Conference Champions. It was truly a great water polo season for the Hornets.
Men's Basketball
The Hornets (3-1 overall) will hit the road against Mt. San Jacinto College on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.
Women's Basketball
FC (1-2 overall) did not play in the Skyline College Tournament this past weekend due to the poor air quality because of the fires. They will not play until Friday, Dec. 14th when they open up against Pasadena City College for the College of the Desert Crossover.
Women's Volleyball
No. 14 Fullerton will play in the first round of the Southern California Regionals this Wednesday, Nov. 21 at No. 3 El Camino College. Game time is at 6 p.m. Let's go Hornets!
Women's Soccer
The No. 11 FC women's soccer team ended their season in the first round of the Southern California Regionals on Saturday against No. 6 Santa Monica College 3-1. The Hornets did not waste any time scoring the first goal of the game 17 seconds into it. Grabbing the early lead did not help FC as the Corsairs responded with 3 unanswered goals to win the match. It was another exciting season for the Hornets as they placed 2nd overall in the Orange Empire Conference with an overall record of 12-5-4.
Men's Soccer
The Hornets passed their first test in the Southern California Regionals beating OEC rival Irvine Valley 1-0 at home on Saturday. FC's Michael Calderon scored the game's lone goal in the 68th minute on an assist by Bronny Toledo. Up Next: The Send Round of the Socal Regionals - No. 3 Fullerton will host another OEC team in No. 6 Golden West College this Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m.
Cross Country
The 2018 Hornet Cross Country season ended with excellent performances at the CCCAA State Championship Meet. Rebeca Perez and Raquel Aldama picked a good time to run their best races of the season finishing the 5K run at 48th place and 61st place. Perez crossed the finish line under the 20-minute mark at 19:54. Aldama ran tenaciously and crossed the line with a time of 20:12. On the men's side, Ian Rusk and Mauro Rosales stood at their starting line determined and focused to conquer the four-mile course as they got off to a good start. Rusk and Rosales kept a strong pace running within three seconds of each other. Rusk crossed the finish line at 22:11 and was the 100th runner to finish out 168 competitors. Rosales finished at 22:14 and was the 103rd runner. It was a great season full of many accomplishments!

Fuenteovejuna
Thursday, Nov. 29-Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m., Bronwyn Dodson Theatre
From the Golden Age of Spanish drama, Fuenteovejuna documents the motivations behind the murder of Fernando Gomez de Guzman, the Chief Commander of the Order of the Calatrava. Often adapted to fit modern times, Fuenteovejuna is a timeless tale about people standing together against corruption, tyranny and abuse.

The lab band is out beginning Jazz Band performance ensemble. It encompasses big band literature to teach the jazz musician the fundamentals of style, interpretation and ensemble playing.
