Heat map shows Sarasota COVID-19 hot spots by zip code
The Florida Health Department in Sarasota County and Sarasota County shared this heat map today which shows the concentration of COVID-19 cases throughout the county by zip code based on data from FDOH as of April 3, 2020. Statewide information is available via the FDOH dashboard .

"Thank you to the Health Department in Sarasota County for organizing the data in this manner and being transparent with it," said City Manager Tom Barwin. "More information is better, and as we move through this situation, we need to look at it as a challenge to overcome and make every effort to innovate our way through."

Sarasota residents and visitors are strongly urged to follow Gov. Ron DeSantis's "Safer at Home" executive order and stay at home, except for essential activities, to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
