This weekend, crews will transition into the second phase of work on I-275 eastbound and move traffic into a new travel pattern within the project area.
There will be several lane and ramp closures associated with this work:
*
Beginning at 8 p.m., Friday, traffic on I-275 eastbound will be reduced to a single lane from just west of the Mineola Pike exit to just east of the Dixie Hwy exit. Two lanes of travel will be open by 10 a.m., Saturday.
*
In addition, the exit ramp to I-75 northbound/southbound will be closed from midnight through 9 a.m., Saturday.
(To access I-75 during this time, traffic will continue eastbound on I-275 to the Dixie Highway exit, turn onto Dixie Highway northbound and travel on I-275 westbound to return to the I-75 interchange.)
Once this traffic pattern is established, crews will begin pavement rehab on the outside travel lanes, which is expected to continue until early July.
All work is weather permitting.
Regular travel updates will be posted on our website -
DrivingNKYProgress.org
- and on our social media pages.
Travel delays are expected to be significant. Please plan ahead by checking travel apps and resources, such as WAZE, before you head out to determine the fastest route to your destination.
