Calling All Volunteers!
 This summer, we're heading out to meet,   love, and   serve our neighbors at   Orchards Glen Apartments 
 Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30-6:30PM. Sign up   on the board in the narthex!

Sunday, June 14 after worship
 Stay after church for a brief overview of   volunteer   guidelines, child safety policies,   and Q&A about what   to expect this   summer.
 We need about 150 volunteer sign-   ups  to make   this happen. For every 5   volunteer sign-ups, we'll put   a kid cut-out   up in the sanctuary. Watch us meet this   goal!
 
 Rachon Hanson is coordinating   volunteers.  You can   sign up on the board 
 in the Narthex, or contact  Rachon  at 206-   551-5424   or  rachonhanson@gmail.com .

 These will be great to wear at Orchards Glen or anytime you're out and about serving in the community.  

In order to get this great price, we need to have at least  40 shirts ordered and we're half way there. Don't miss out on yours!
"Tall" sizes are also available.  There is a separate order sheet for those.

Honoring 
Thy Father
 (grandfathers, papas,uncles,   and other important men in 
our lives too) 

 This year, we will be offering  (by donation)   boutonnieres on 
Father's Day - June 16th  
 to help us honor the wonderful men in our   lives. All proceeds will go towards the All   Church Retreat Fund to help keep the   costs low. 

 You can also purchase one in memory of   an important man in your life. Let's try to   make sure all the wonderful men in our   congregation are sporting a boutonniere   on Father's Day.

 an education and advocacy series.  June topic:  Best   Practice Basics. June 20th 5:30 - 7 PM Vancouver   Housing Authority -   Events


 Your advocacy helped restore justice   in the   criminal justice system:
  • New Hope Act (SHB 1041 Hansen) allows certain records to be expunged, allowing people exiting prison to more successfully reenter society.
  • Postsecondary Prison Education (2SSB 5433 C. Wilson) expands education opportunities for those in prison. 
  • 3 Strikes Reform (ESSB 5288 Darneille) removes Robbery 2 from strikeable offenses. 
  • Juvenile Detention Reform (E2SSB 5290 Darneille) eliminates the use of detention for juveniles committing minor offenses.
