In and around the classrooms
Spreading Christmas Cheer
Secondary students brought Christmas cheer and music to residents at Morningside of Rock Hill. During their time at the center, Mr. Miller and students also shared Advent scriptures telling the true Christmas story.
Class Study Session
Mrs. Salmon's 10th grade English class enjoyed a special study session before their final exams. The time was complete with coffee, donuts, and warm blankets.
"Lend me your ear"
9th grade English students memorized and recited a portion of a monologue from Shakespear's "Julius Caesar" as part of their study of the play.
Creating their very first two paragraph essays, the 3rd grade Language Arts class composed their own unique version of the birth of Christ. Afterwards, each student read their story to a kindergarten buddy.
Medieval Christmas
2nd grade and 6th grade history classes joined together to celebrate a medieval style Christmas. The older students helped their younger peers create nativity scenes, decorate Christmas goblets, and make crown cookies.
