SJRS Monthly Newsletter -February 2020
Saint Jerome Regional School
"Living Fearlessly Through Faith..."
A Message From The Principal
Dear St. Jerome Family,
Welcome to 2020! I hope this new year has many blessings for everyone. Thank you all for the most thoughtful gifts to all of us at Christmas. We appreciate your kindness! Most of all, we appreciate you sending your children to Saint Jerome Regional School. They are truly special!
We would also like to thank our SJRS Families, Community Members, Alumni and Friends of SJRS for your generous donations this school year. The #Spreadthespirit Day of online giving was absolutely amazing! We are so grateful for everyone's support of SJRS! We also had a few other generous donations that were given to SJRS just before the holidays. One was for the purchase of 5 more brand new smartboards that will soon be installed in the upper grades. Another was for a faculty and staff luncheon that we held in December. We have the best family here at SJRS!
As you are aware, we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week all this week. The students, staff, parents, grandparents, family members, board members and the people of the parishes all show in different ways how they are proud of our Catholic school. It is good to celebrate who we are and what we do. There is love, kindness, joy, truth and justice in every school, but we are also a faith community, a Catholic school. We are a school where faith is part of everything we do. It is part of how we learn, how we play, how we treat each other, and who we are. The start of CSW has been fantastic so far. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Open House and/or Kids Bingo yesterday. It was great to see so many members of our SJRS family!

I also wanted to share two videos with you that were shared with us in the IHM Catholic Education January Newsletter. Please click on this link to watch the first video regarding GRACE. The second video is about New Year's Resolutions and where the real changes actually happen. Please click here for the second video.

Asking God to provide you with the good health, inner joy, boundless energy, and every day graces that will make your 2020 the best year ever!

As Teacher, he has given us the prime example of the importance of education.
As disciples, we look to him for inspiration and strength.
Thank you for the many men and women who have dedicated their lives in service to our Catholic schools.
Thank you for the teachers and administrators who lead our schools today.

May our schools be homes for those who seek to grow in faith, knowledge, and service of others.
May our faith communities always support one another and show a warm welcome to new members.
Loving God, fill our minds with knowledge and wisdom.
May our understanding of the world help us to grow in appreciation for it.
Fill our hearts with gladness.
May we always turn to you in times of need.
Fill our hands with the tools we need to serve others.
May we show them your unceasing love through our actions.
We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus, Who is Lord forever and ever.
