CAPTAIN YOGI'S USELESS
BUT IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Hello Everybody!
I’ve been on a little hiatus over the past couple of months! First, I wanted to wish everybody and their families a Merry Christmas and Happy New year!

It has been an incredibly busy month, So Busy I missed the last Tequila Times article as we were in Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. John. For those of you that have traveled to any of these locations, you know how beautiful they are, and you also know about the devastating hurricane last year. I am here to let you know, they are recovering and it is still a beautiful place. As you can imagine, there is still damage to be seen, but less and less with every week that goes by, The biggest tell tale of the damage is when you fly in to Puerto Rico and you see all the blue tarps still on roofs. So if your thinking about going back or even going for the first time, GO!

I want to thank and congratulate our new and returning board members. Scott Braasch accepted the First Mate Position, running un-opposed, Deb Fink and Christi for accepting the split role as scribe, running un-opposed and Diane Paul for accepting the role of Cruise Director, un-opposed.

As a result of our last board meeting, I am sending out this email for proposed changes to the Parrot Heads in Amish Paradise By-laws. These were brought up due to declining membership and a limited number of members being involved in socials and events sponsored by the club. The proposed changes are as follows:

  1. Socials will be held quarterly on the 2nd Thursday of March, June, September and December. (Months in between we shall try to meet at a Tropical Soul appearance, monthly and informally.)
  2. Board meetings will be held quarterly in February, May, August and November, exact dates to be determined by the previous board meeting.
  3.  Memberships will now be $10 per person per year. Children under 12, of active members will still be free. Family memberships have been discontinued.
  4. Bank reconciliations will be reported quarterly at the board meeting.
  5. Accounts will be audited yearly by a member other than the purser. Person will be determined by the board.
  6. The Tequila Times will also be published Quarterly with a min version, (Shot of Tequila Times) the months in between, to announce events as needed.

These proposed changes will also be announced at the next social.
If there is any opposition to any of these changes, please contact me directly at payogibear@yahoo.com or my phone at 717-574-4773.
If there is no opposition, the changes will be considered accepted and added to the by-laws starting January 1st, 2019.

Thanks
Captain Yogi

ROAD CLEAN REPORT!

We have attached a note from the Dauphin County Coordinator: Nicholas Cortes with a big ‘Thank you’ for the Trash Pick-Up work PHIAP did in 2018.
They are very appreciative of the work we have been doing for so many years to keep route 441 environment clean and beautiful.

It is now time for us to pass the leadership of this activity on to others in PHIAP. It is not a lot of work and we would work with you through 2019 to ease the transition. Please let the Captain know if you are interested in leading this activity.

Thank you again for all of those who participated in the Clean-Up this year. It was a fun and rewarding activity.

Sincerely,
Metro and Karen Breski
