NC 4-H would like to celebrate National 4-H Week with you! Throughout the week the NC State 4-H staff will host webinars from 7:00-8:00 pm. Links to the National 4-H Week webinars will be shared and sent to you by October 2. Please invite your 4-H families and friends to share in the following events:

● Monday, October 5 - Opening Ceremonies
● Wednesday, October 7 - NC 4-H Showcase of Talent
● Thursday, October 8 - NC 4-H Awards
● Friday, October 9 - Closing Campfire







Want to Be in Pictures?

North Carolina 4-H would like to use pictures and videos of NC 4-H'ers and 4-H leaders in the opening ceremony for National 4-H Week on Monday, October 5, 2020.

Your help with this opening ceremony is needed. Create your own poster using the theme #Opportunity4All, then take a picture of yourself with your poster. Photos should be saved as a .jpg (no more than 10 MB) with the county name_first name_last name (example - Lincoln_April_Dillon.jpg)

Upload the photo of you and your poster to Deborah McGiffin, [email protected]. Please, upload all pictures and video files no later than September 29. 

The first 10 Moore County 4-H'ers who upload their pictures or videos to Deborah McGiffin will earn a National 4-H Week sign that can be displayed in your yards!



Hay Bale Decorating Contest

Each year during the NC State Fair, there is a hay bale decorating contest.  Since, the pandemic cancelled the fair and the hay bale contest,  NC 4-H is excited to announce the 4-H Hay Bale Decorating Fun for your 4-H families and 4-H'ers.

This is a fun opportunity for 4-H families to spend some time together and enjoy decorating hay bales.  There is a family category and an individual category.  The linked flyer will explain this competition.  

Registration will be due November 23rd so you have plenty of time to get creative.

If you are interested in teaching a workshop, and would like to share with other 4-H leaders your interesting experiences and expertise in leading 4-H'ers, please see the workshop form, complete it and submit your proposal.
