The Kay Wilson Shurden Outstanding Student in Marriage and Family Therapy Award recognizes students who are committed to making a difference in the lives of others.

For this annual award, the MFT program faculty selects one student on each campus who best exemplifies commitment to academics, clinical practice, and professional identity as a family therapist. Congratulations to Chloe Harper on the Atlanta campus and Conner Burk in Macon on being recognized for their dedication and commitment in the MFT program over the last year and a half!

Pediatric Medical Student Research Forum
The 7th Annual Pediatric Research Forum for Medical Students is taking place on September 4, 2021 in Orlando, FL, in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The forum is a great opportunity for all medical students to share their research with peers.

Update on Hospital Medicine Conference
Wake Forest Baptist is hosting a conference in Hilton Head, SC on October 1-2, 2021. Using evidence-based medicine, this conference provides efficient updates on hospital medicine that can be implemented into daily practice. Registration is free for individuals whose abstracts are accepted.

Joint Research Conference
May 13 | 9 am - 5 pm
Mercer's annual School of Medicine and College of Pharmacy Joint Research Conference will take place virtually this year. 
On the morning of the conference, the organizers will send out a link to the Joint Research Conference page in Microsoft Teams, where posters and oral presentations from both schools will be available for viewing.
Dr. Robert Visalli, Professor of Virology and NIH-funded investigator, will deliver the keynote speech live at 1pm.
