Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences are TOMORROW
Conferences are tomorrow, Thursday, February 6 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. This is a 1:45 p.m. early dismissal day for the students.
Conferences are scheduled in 10-minute increments. We do not recommend scheduling back-to-back conferences as you will need time to get from one location to the next. Please be courteous of both the teacher's and the next parent's time slot.
We often get questions about February conference sign ups and who should attend. Anyone is certainly welcome to sign up, although we would encourage families whose students are struggling, on the border of passing, etc. to take advantage. For all conferences, we encourage students to attend and be part of the conversation. If your child is doing well and you don't feel the need to meet in person that is perfectly okay. You are always welcome to email the teachers throughout the year with any questions or concerns.

Senior Research Papers Due February 18
The senior research paper is due at the
beginning
of the student's English class period on Tuesday, Feb. 18. No late papers are accepted for any reason. Failure to submit the paper on time results in the requirement to attend a summer session in June to write a research paper in order to receive a diploma.

Senior Scholarship Letters
Please turn in a copy of all scholarship award letters to the guidance office,
even for colleges you will not be attending
, so that the information can be listed in the graduation program, graduation slides, and compiled for the class statistics.

PowerSchool Attendance Update
Due to many requests, we have made the decision to turn on the attendance function in PowerSchool Unified Classroom. This means that parents will now be able to see updated information on your student's tardies and absences. Please keep in mind that during any school day attendance is in flux and can change for a variety of reasons (i.e. class tardies, meeting with teachers, stopping by the office, nurse, chapel, etc.). If there is ever a cause for concern with your child’s attendance we will contact you immediately. If you see an inconsistency in the absence report on a particular day, please wait until the school day is over to see the final entries and then check with your student for clarification before you reach out to the office.
We hope that by showing the daily report, this will help keep all parents up to date on the number of absences and tardies throughout the year.
