Drexel announces the Museum Innovation Fund, a new grant program to support all Drexel faculty in developing innovative approaches to museum learning and engagement – offsite, onsite, and online. Grants of up to $5,000 are available to advance a “design thinking” approach to defining audience needs and conceptualizing solutions. Projects that involve students are highly encouraged. Applications are now open, and the submission deadline is May 24, 2021.

Become a Climate Resilience Research Leader!
One of the goals of Climate Year is to collaborate with regional stakeholders, including the City of Philadelphia, on the development of a regional climate resilience research plan. The Climate Year team invites faculty to participate in working groups that will develop this plan over the summer. A description and the nomination form is here. Consider nominating yourself or a colleague to apply your climate expertise in a particularly meaningful way.

Tenured Faculty Transition Policy Information Sessions
The Tenured Faculty Transition Policy provides options for tenured faculty members to transition to retirement from their tenured positions within the University. The Policy consists of two options for tenured faculty to consider: Tenure Buyout and Phased Retirement. Eligible tenured faculty members may choose to participate in either option, but not both. Information sessions for faculty members wishing to discuss the Transition Policy will be offered on Thursday, May 6 at 3:15 p.m. and Monday, May 10 at 10:30 a.m. Click on the date for the session you wish to attend to register.
