Director's Message: Day One
Liebe TCGIS Familien,

Day one has come and gone and while the road had bumps for sure, we stayed on it, kept our hands on the wheel and, to steal a German phrase, “got the curve.” (Wir haben die Kurve gekriegt!)

Students were anything from shy and nervous to joyous and loud. I recognized some right away and had to do a double take more than once to register how much a few had grown!

Teachers and EAs and support staff all shared their excitement at seeing kids again and while not everything went as planned, the essential ingredients came together to pull off the most normal school day these halls have seen since March.

ALL involved deserve credit for making it work and we look forward to making each day smoother than the next as COVID fall continues.

Speaking of COVID, I would also like to take this opportunity to connect with you and urge you all to sign our community’s PLEDGE to each other to do our part to keep us all safe during the pandemic. Strong community response here sends a message to our whole community that we are committed to doing what it takes to keep our school healthy and running.

I hope you will join me in signing.

Thank you for all you’re doing to support our learning community and our kids!

Mit dankbarem Gruß

Ted Anderson
