Dear Parents:
Next week, final exams will become a part of your child’s life. From Dec. 17 - 20, students in grades 9 - 12 will take their final exams in various classes. Prior to taking these finals students will spend time reviewing course requirements, study guides and participating in study sessions offered by classroom teachers.

Christmas Concert Tonight!
December 13
The BCHS Music Department will be presenting a Christmas Concert on Thursday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. in the main gym. This concert will feature the Concert Band, Concert Choir and Liturgy Choir. Admission is FREE and all are welcome!

2019 March for Life
Deadline to register is Dec. 14
Registration and fees for the Jan. 16 - 19 March for Life trip to Washington, D.C., are due to your parish's youth minister or to the BCHS Campus Ministry office no later than Dec. 14.

Diaper Drive
Babies need diapers and The Women's Care Center (which we serve each year on Community Service Day and other day's throughout the year) reached out to us because they are in desperate need of diapers. Women’s Care Center provides free, confidential counseling, support and education to women facing unplanned pregnancies. BCHS will hold a diaper drive through Friday,
Dec. 14.
All sizes of diapers are needed. Donations of diapers can be dropped off in Campus Ministry.

Attn: Sophomore Parents - Summa program information
Sophomore students who are Summa candidates (cumulative GPA of 3.85 or higher, in second year of world language) can pick up applications and recommendation forms in the Guidance and School Counseling Office. A letter was mailed to candidates on Nov. 29; applications are due Dec. 18. Please see Mrs. Nixon with questions.

Mrs. Nixon is available to meet with your students to begin their resume, help narrow their list of colleges, and create a plan for how to prepare for applications. Students are welcome to come alone, with a friend, or parents may join them for this meeting.

Senior "Congratulations" Yearbook Ads
Parents can purchase "Senior Congratulations" ads (often referred to as the baby ads) for their senior to run in the yearbook. It is one of our most popular features in the yearbook and space fills up quickly. Prices range from $65 - $225.
More information will be coming in January 2019 about how to submit your advertisement for your senior.

IQE Video Contest
Deadline December 15
In conjunction with National School Choice Week, Jan. 20-26, the Institute for Quality Education (IQE) is holding a video contest. Students, parents, teachers, classrooms and administrators are invited to create a video sharing their school choice story. The video should explain where they attend/teach/work, how they chose that school, and why it is the right fit for them.
Once all videos have been reviewed, three winners will be chosen and each will receive a $1,000 cash prize. In addition to this, schools will have the opportunity to earn $10 per video submission, up to $1,000, to invest in school programs.
