Scam Email Targets REALTORS®
|
Many National Association of REALTORS® members report receiving a solicitation, purportedly from the REALTOR® Party, asking for donations to fund medical expenses for a young girl.
This solicitation is not from the REALTOR® Party or the National Association of REALTORS®.
NAR never solicits donations for personal or individual charities. If you receive this "Help Support Diana Recovery" solicitation, you should delete the email without clicking on any links.
If you already clicked on the message and sent money to a link in the email, you should file a complaint with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at
The National Association of REALTORS® is working to identify and report the sender.
We urge members to be on alert for email and online fraud.
NAR has resources
on cyberfraud and cybersecurity best practices online here.

Wednesday, January 23rd is "Committee Day", where members discuss important association business and local and statewide industry trends.
The shape of the association and how we advocate on the Hill is often formed in many of these meetings!
If you're interested in getting involved, this is the place to do it.
Go directly to the 2019 Legislative Day information and registration page, online here:
SAR member Judy Flemmer, EXIT Real Estate Professionals, was a first-time attendee at last year's Legislative Day in Olympia.
"What I was so impressed with was the power that REALTORS have. I had no idea that we actually are the lobbyists and can go and talk with the senators and tell them what the industry needs."

Real Estate in a Digital Age
|
The world we live in today is a digital one and searching for a home is no different.
Buyers now have apps that let them search by location and neighborhoods.
Online searching maximizes the ability to compare and contrast homes on the market by selected features.
Most of this is done before a potential home buyer connects with a real estate agent.
NAR's new report,
Real Estate in a Digital Age, examines the process home buyers go through in the initial online search and how REALTORS® are connecting with customers in the digital space.
