Protect Your Account
The abstract image of the hacker reach hand through a laptop screen for stealing the data as binary code. the concept of cyber attack_ virus_ malware_ illegally and cyber security.
Keeping your accounts and information secure and confidential is one of Huron Valley State Bank's important responsibilities. Unfortunately forged checks and debit card fraud is on the rise and hackers are becoming even more sophisticated to make unauthorized purchases or withdraw cash from your account. When your debit card is used fraudulently or a fraudster gets access to your account, the money goes missing instantly. Payments scheduled or checks mailed may bounce, and you may not be able to afford necessities. It can take a while for the fraud to be cleared up and the money restored to your account.

Please monitor your accounts daily by using online or mobile banking. Check your balance and recent transactions. The sooner you detect fraud, the easier it will be to limit its impact on your finances. If you see unfamiliar transactions, call the bank right away at 248.887.9900.

Beware of Grandparents Scam
Scam artists will use any leverage they can get to separate you from your money. Sadly, that includes exploiting grandparents' love and concern for their grandchildren, giving rise to a breed of impostor fraud specifically targeting older Americans.

Grandparent scams typically work something like this: The victim gets a call from someone posing as his or her grandchild. This person explains, in a frantic-sounding voice, that he or she is in trouble: There's been an accident, or an arrest, or a robbery. To up the drama and urgency, the caller might claim to be stuck in a foreign country; to make the impersonation more convincing, he or she will throw in a few family particulars, gleaned from the actual grandchild's social media activity.   Learn More
