Dear Lovejoy Community:
It is difficult to believe the first half of the school year is coming to a close. It certainly has been a great semester filled with a wide array of student accomplishments. We are so proud of the students you send us each day.
Lovejoy High School students will begin exams on Friday, December 14 and will have early release days on December 14,17,and 18. Wednesday, December 19 is an early release day for all Lovejoy students. The administration building will remain open on Thursday, December 20 and Friday, December 21. Please call on us if we may be of any assistance during this time.
Elementary, intermediate and middle school students will return to school on January 7 with high school students returning on January 8. We look forward to welcoming all of our students back to school in 2019.

School closures will be determined based on safety. In the event of a school closure, notifications will be announced on the district’s website, Facebook, and Twitter pages. We will also announce any closure through the media and through a special edition of Email Express. Links to our social media accounts are shown below.

Edlio, the district’s website and mobile app provider notified us late last week that the Lovejoy ISD mobile app, which connects directly to our website, will be removed from Apple’s App Store and Google Play’s store effective December 30. You may continue to access the district websites through the browser on your phone (ex. Chrome or Safari). Congratulations to Lovejoy High School Senior
Ben Mason
on his recent recognition as a member of the Blue-Grey All-American team. The Blue-Grey All-American game will be held on December 17 at 6:00 PM at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

On Thursday, December 6, Lovejoy Baseball athletes volunteered at Feed My Starving Children in Richardson. Together the group packed approximately 15,000 meals, which provides one meal a day to 42 children for an entire year.

Tutoring 101
and Lovejoy ISD have formed a revenue generating/sharing partnership to bring their services to Lovejoy families. Please see below for several offerings.
Private tutoring is available for students in grades K-12 in all subjects. Tutoring 101 recommends once a week tutoring for an hour to increase grades and learn subject matter more deeply. A once a week appointment usually results in an increase of 1 letter grade or more. Turn those C's into B's.
