Dear Friends and Neighbors:

It has been over a year since Hurricane Harvey made landfall.  Whether you had damage to your home, volunteered to help rebuild in Harvey's aftermath, or had neighbors and friends who were severely impacted, all of us saw firsthand the destructive impact of Hurricane Harvey. However, we also had an opportunity to observe the resilience and the sense of community of the entire region affected by Harvey.

It's important to recognize that although this storm is physically past us, there are long term implications of Harvey, some obvious and others unknown. We are sending this information to you because research collaborators from around the region have come together to create the Hurricane Harvey Registry. The Hurricane Harvey Registry is working to measure the long term impact of Hurricane Harvey so that communities receive the relief they need and so that the entire region is better prepared for future storms. It is extremely important that we all participate. Even if you were not severely impacted by Harvey, visit Harvey Registry to document your Harvey experience and browse related resources.

The Hurricane Harvey Registry is a ten-minute survey that collects health, location, and exposure information from Houston area residents. To participate, you must be 18 years of age or older and have lived or worked in the region during Hurricane Harvey. If you would like additional background information on the registry, feel free to visit any of these articles below.
For questions about the study, or if you have complaints, concerns or suggestions, you may contact Dr. Marie Lynn Miranda, who is leading this project, or Hien Le at [email protected].
