The campus was filled with the sights and sounds of Christmas as 450 students performed in the annual Christmas at Concordia concert. The concert was enjoyed by more than 1,600, including alumni who fondly remember participating in this 31-year tradition. God continues to bless the community of Concordia University through our alumni, faculty/staff, and friends. As we close out the 2018 calendar year and look to the new year, consider how you can continue the traditions through prayer, mentorship, career/intern referrals, student referrals, and gifts of support.
May the Spirit fill you with joy this season and into the new year as we remember the greatest gift of all, our Lord and Savior.

Join Us for the Annual Health Professions Conference
Register for the 6th Annual Concordia University Wisconsin School of Health Professions Conference to be held Monday, January 21. This is an all-day event that begins at 8 am. Those who may be interested in attending include professionals in: occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, physician assistant, and social work. Some of the topics will include School Based Mental Health Clinics, Medication Matters, Safe Patient Handling and Mobility, Concussion on Young Athletes, and much more. Annual CIT to Take Place at Ann Arbor Campus
January 25-26
The longest running basketball tournament in the country will take place at Concordia University Ann Arbor, January 25-26. The Concordia Invitational Tournament (CIT) features both men's and women's basketball teams from the Concordias in Mequon, River Forest, IL (Chicago), and Seward, NE (Nebraska) along with the host team, Ann Arbor. The tournament rotates every year to a different Concordia location making it a highlight of the athletic year for not only the school that's hosting, but the other Concordia schools participating, and the fans who travel to support their teams. Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations Deadline
Concordia is now accepting nominations for the
William C. Ackmann Memorial Hall of Fame. Please click here to nominate someone before January 30, 2019. Nominees must meet the following criteria:
* Must be a graduate, administrator, coach, faculty representative, or member of CUW's Athletics Department.
* May be selected at any time beginning five years after his/her graduation date.
* At minimum, must have earned at least two varsity letters at CUW and must have received at least one first team all-conference award during his/her collegiate career.
* A coach must have served a minimum of five seasons at CUW and must have won at least one conference championship while coaching at CUW.
* In addition to meeting the above criteria, must have exemplified the highest standards of sportsmanship, integrity, and devotion.

Speech-Language Pathology Profs Receive Awards
Two CUW School of Health Professions professors have been selected to receive honors through the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders' (CAPCSD) awards program.
Elizabeth Eernisse, assistant professor of speech-language pathology, was chosen to participate in the 2019 CAPCSD Leadership Academy, which is designed to help individuals considering academic leadership positions, or who are newly engaged in academic leadership, develop their knowledge and skills in the area of leadership.
